The A Frame Trust has many achievements to its credit. Not only has the Trust raised a considerable amount of money to carry out the restoration of the A Frame they have also;

• Carried out an Oral History project recording the personal, family and working histories of local mine workers. Some of these are available on the website, others at the A Frame location.
• Installed interpretation materials onsite to detail the history of the colliery and those who worked there.
• Won the 1997 Green Apple Award.
• Won the 1996/7 Big Lottery People’s Millions Award. This is an award of cash voted on by viewers of the Big Lottery TV show. The Trust won an award of £85,000.
• Been nominated for an Excellence in Planning Award.
